Dear Bruce,

We’re really excited that you’re coming to Ferrara in May of 2023! Your concert is a very big deal for our small historic city. We applaud our mayor for making this possible and are proud to host you, Bruce. As you know, we Italians are known for our warmth and hospitality, and it is this hospitality that led our city officials to present you with the best our city has to offer, parco urbano Giorgio Bassani. It is home to many trees, large and small, to nesting birds and wildflowers. In one word, this serene and beautiful area is biodiverse. You would love it at first glance if you could see it.

My friends and I are very concerned with the damage that 55,000 people are going to wreck on our park and of the disturbance to wildlife.  We believe that if you, the Boss, ask to perform in another location, like the Ferrara airport, our mayor and city officials would be honored to accommodate you. It has enough space for 55,000 people and is more suitable for a rock concert. So this is my prayer and dream Bruce, that you will save our park. I wish it from the bottom of my heart.

We are a group of Ferrara citizen and we are really excited for your coming in our town in May of 2023 and are
proud to host and welcome you in our town.
Your concert is a very big deal for our small historic city and we are grateful to our mayor for making this possible.
As you know, Italians are known for our warmth and hospitality, and it is thanks to this hospitality that our city
officials wish to present themselves to you with better that our city could offer: The City Park “Giorgio Bassani”.
The Park is the home of many trees, big and small, home of nesting resident birds and migratory , there are large
areas of meadows, wildflowers and ponds. In short, this is a quiet and beautiful of biodiversity area and we are
sure you would love it at first glance.
We all, are concerned about the possible permanent damages that the huge numbers of people (55.000) that will
attend to your amazing concert , would cause to the park and wildlife.
The assurances given to us in this sense by the municipal authorities have unfortunately not been convincing nor
exhaustive.
In the city there are alternative areas that could host an event of this importance (never seen before in our
territory) in a more suitable shape and above all with a much lower environmental impact.
In our opinion the “amateur airport” area would be the most suitable one: State property, large spaces, no
Environmental Protection, very close to the highway gate etc.
We know that you care about protecting the environment for this reason we are begging your support for the
changing of location where to perform your concert. The City Hall will be more than happy to meet all your
requests.
Mr. Springsteen, this is our wish, our dream and our pray to you: please help us to save our park.
